The 5 Best Cocktail Bars in Siargao Island: My Quick Guide on Siargao Nightlife
I’ve already talked about Siargao a few times on this blog, mostly to rave about how good the food scene is—and how the vibe here feels a bit like a mini Bali, with all the cool cafes, restaurants, and bars.
In this little article, I want to focus on something that surprised me: the cocktail bars. Normally, I wouldn’t make a whole post just about bars, but we ended up trying quite a few different spots, and the cocktails were honestly so good that I figured—why not share a quick guide to the best Siargao bars?
Now, this isn’t a full nightlife guide. I’m sure there are more party spots and clubs out there, but these are the places I personally went to and loved. These bars are more about good vibes, tasty late-night snacks or share plates, and really well-mixed drinks—not all-night raves.
Alright, let’s get into my favorite cocktail bars in Siargao.

What are the Best Cocktail Bars in Siargao? I’ve got the Answers Right Here
Siargao is a fairly small island, and General Luna—the main tourist hub—is basically a small town, so naturally, the bar scene isn’t massive. I actually overheard two guys (who seemed to live here) saying there aren’t many great bars in Siargao and that they should open one… honestly, I kind of agree. There’s definitely room for a few more quality cocktail spots.
That’s why this list only includes seven cocktail bars—because, to be honest, that’s pretty much all of them. If I missed an amazing one, please let me know. But as of 2025, these are the best bars I found for a proper, well-mixed drink.
We stayed in Siargao for over a month, so we had plenty of time for post-dinner cocktails—maybe a few too many. But we found some seriously good spots. The Last Chance was one of our favorites, bringing that classic American-style service and consistency to the island.
Manu was another standout—this place this is Filipino Cocktail Bar with locally inspired cocktails that are both beautiful and delicious. Manu’s owner, Adam, recently opened Paraluman Gin Parlour, a hidden little speakeasy in Siargao with amazing cocktails and the coolest ambiance.
I also really like Sibol Siargao, even though I didn’t include it on the my list—mainly because it’s not exactly a standout cocktail bar compared to some of the others I’ve mentioned. But I still wanted to give it a quick shoutout because it is a great bar in Siargao for a cold beer, a chill but busy atmosphere, and some of the best live music on the island. It’s right on Tourism Road, and with live sets almost every night, you really can’t miss it.

1. The Last Chance // Best Bar in Siargao
The Last Chance is probably my personal favorite cocktail bar in Siargao—and totally not what I expected. The first time we went, it was with a group of friends who knew about it (we hadn’t even heard of it before). From the outside, it just looks like another casual Siargao restaurant. But as soon as you walk through the door, you’re in a beautifully designed cocktail bar that honestly could’ve been in New York. Not island-themed at all—just sleek, moody lighting and proper cocktail bar vibes.
Turns out, the owners are a couple of guys from Houston who fell in love with Siargao and decided to open a legit cocktail bar here. And you can tell—it’s got American-level service and proper mixology going on.
The cocktail menu is small but well curated, with both signature drinks and classics. But honestly, the bartenders are so good they can probably make anything you ask for. The staff is super friendly and attentive—you can tell they’ve been trained right, Texas-style.

2. Manu // Most Famous Bar in Siargao
Manu is, in some ways, similar to The Last Chance—and in others, completely different. Like The Last Chance, it’s one of the best cocktail bars in Siargao. The drinks are expertly made, super flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. But the vibe and atmosphere are totally different.
While The Last Chance feels like a slick city bar, Manu is full island mode. The design is all wood and beachy, like a stylish tiki hut tucked into the tropics—and honestly, it works. It feels like it belongs here.
Carae and I came a few times and tried a few of their cocktails—the Paloma, the Penicillin, and of course, a classic Espresso Martini. All amazing. The bartenders really know their stuff and are great at walking you through the drink menu. We also had some bar snacks—their edamame and miso chicken were perfect with the drinks.
Now that I think about it, if I had to recommend just one cocktail bar in Siargao for your island getaway experience, it might be this one. The vibe just fits Siargao so well.

3. Paraluman Gin Parlour // One of the Coolest New Bars in Siargao
Paraluman is easily the coolest little spot in Siargao. From what I understand, it’s basically a speakeasy—and that’s exactly how it feels. It’s tucked away in a small wooden hut at Harana Surf Beachfront Resort. We actually had trouble finding it at first—you have to walk around the Harana Surf restaurant to get to the bar, which honestly just adds to the whole speakeasy vibe.
The design is incredible. The concept is inspired by 1950s Filipino cinema, with a sophisticated, nostalgic Manila atmosphere. The attention to detail here is next level—from the decor to the playlist, it all tells a story.
Once we found it, we absolutely loved it. Paraluman is run by the same founder as Manu, so you already know the cocktails are going to be top-tier. Every drink we had was super creative and seriously good. This place is a must-visit—definitely one of the best bars in Siargao.

4. The Ext Siargao (Extension) // Cute Little Neighborhood Bar
Extension isn’t one of the most talked-about bars in Siargao—at least I hadn’t heard of it until someone recommended it to me. It’s small and a bit hidden, located right above Las Barricas (which I mentioned in my Siargao restaurant guide).
To me, this is the best neighborhood bar in Siargao. We stayed nearby at a little boutique hotel (Alpas Siargao) for a few nights, so it was an easy walk for a late-night drink. They’ve got a great vibe, sometimes even live music, and a solid selection of cocktails and wines. It’s a stylish, no-fuss kind of place. They usually open around 6pm and keep going until the crowd thins out. If you’re grabbing tacos at Las Barricas, this is the perfect next stop.
5. Secreto Siargao // One of the Upscale Siargao Bars
We only made it to Secreto once, but it’s easily one of the most popular restaurants and cocktail bars in Siargao. It’s a Spanish spot located near Kermit, and we actually stumbled upon it one night on our way to get pizza. After chatting with the doorman and having a quick peek inside, we made a reservation for the next evening.
When we came back, our first thought was—wow. It’s one of the most beautifully designed places we’ve seen in Siargao. A great spot for dinner, drinks, or even a date night. The food is top-notch—we had ceviche (which I previously thought only Cev did well), and their tuna tartare was excellent too.
We didn’t have cocktails that night, just a few glasses of white wine—and honestly, good wine in Siargao is a rare find, so that was a win. That said, the cocktails we saw being made looked great, so I’d definitely come back to try them.

6. Barbosa Siargao // The Best Snack Food out of all the Siargao Bars
Barbosa easily had my favorite bar food out of all the cocktail bars we went to in Siargao—which honestly was one of the main reasons I kept going back.
They’ve got some really creative bites here. Their wonton tacos come with different types of fish and are ridiculously good. The chicken and pork skewers are grilled fresh, their ceviche is solid, and the fried chicken is a proper bar snack winner. Hands down the best finger food of any bar on the island.
The cocktails here are great too, and the beers are ice-cold. Compared to somewhere like The Last Chance, Barbosa has a much livelier vibe. They often have DJs playing, so the energy is a bit more party-like—which can be exactly what you’re in the mood for after a chill dinner or a full day of working.
7. Happiness Beach Bar // Best Bars in Siargao with a View
Happiness Beach Bar is definitely the liveliest spot on this list. Most people know it as one of the go-to places for a big night out in Siargao, depending on the night. They often host festivals or DJ sets—we went to one and it was super fun.
But even when there’s no event happening, Happiness is still a great spot for a laid-back sunset cocktail. The setup isn’t super fancy, but it’s tasteful and right on Siargao beach. We really liked the location, and while the drinks weren’t the best on the island, they were solid (especially during Happy Hour). What really makes this place stand out is the view—easily the best bar view in Siargao.
Where to Stay in Siargao Island
We ended up trying a few different places during our stay in Siargao, and most of them were great. Here are the ones I’d personally recommend:
- Araw Homestay – This was a beautiful little spot right in General Luna town. The owner, John, was amazing—super helpful with tips and arranging scooters. Great budget-friendly option if you want something low-key and welcoming.
- Wayans Siargao Homestay – A bit outside of town, this place was one of our favorites. The owners have thought of every little detail, and the common areas (including a small kitchen) are perfect if you’re staying a bit longer and want to cook a few of your own meals.
- Las Palmas Villas – This was our final treat at the end of the trip. One of the most beautiful resorts in General Luna, with stunning design and a dreamy pool area. We only stayed two nights, but if your budget allows, I’d definitely recommend it—it’s a gorgeous stay.
Things to Know When Visiting Siargao
- Tides Matter: Make sure to check the tide schedule when planning beach days or swimming. Low tide can leave many beaches inaccessible for swimming, so it’s best to go when the tide is high.
- Power Outages (Brownouts): Siargao is known for its power fluctuations. Be prepared for occasional brownouts, especially in remote areas. It’s a good idea to have backup charging options, as the voltage can sometimes fry your devices (yep, it happened to my laptop).
- Where to Stay: General Luna is the main hub for tourists—it’s lively and has everything you need. If you prefer something quieter, Santa Fe is a great option. Just be aware that some of the other towns are a bit more secluded, so plan accordingly if you want more privacy or tranquility.
- Rent a Scooter: Siargao is best explored on two wheels. Renting a scooter is the easiest and most fun way to get around the island and reach the coolest spots and beaches.
- Food and Cafes: Don’t miss out on Siargao’s amazing food scene! From local eateries to cozy cafes, the island has plenty of delicious spots to fuel up after a day of exploring.
- Cash is King: While some places accept cards, it’s always best to carry cash, especially when venturing into less touristy areas where ATMs might not be available.
- Respect the Locals: Siargao is a laid-back island with a close-knit community. Be mindful of local customs and always show respect to the people who call this place home.

Final Thoughts on Bars in Siargao
Siargao isn’t exactly known for its bar scene—and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised by what I found and I had the most amazing experience with those Siargao bars. When it comes to style, design, decor, quality cocktails, good music, and overall vibe, some of the bars here really deliver.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: there’s a definite Bali influence happening in Siargao right now—especially when it comes to the bar, restaurant, and café scene. It’s like a mini Bali, just on a smaller, more low-key scale. That mix is creating such a fun, laid-back community vibe, and it’s a big part of what’s making Siargao one of the top spots to be this summer.
