The 7 Best Best Beach Resorts in Siquijor Philippines: My Review & Opinion in 2025

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Siquijor is one of those places in the Philippines that absolutely deserves a spot on your itinerary. If you’re planning a trip around the country, this little island should be high on your list.

Siquijor feels different from a lot of the other islands I’ve visited. It’s more raw, more real, and a lot less touristy. There’s a rugged edge to it that I really appreciated, especially after spending time in more built-up places like Cebu and Bohol. It was exactly the kind of reset I needed.

The island’s got everything: waterfalls, white-sand beaches, great snorkeling and diving, and this mysterious energy that’s hard to describe. If you’ve heard the stories, yes, Siquijor is known for its folklore about witches and spirits in the jungle-covered hills.

Anyway, let’s get into what you came here for: the best beach resorts in Siquijor Philippines. I’ve stayed at a couple of these myself, and I’ve done the research to help you find the one that actually fits your vibe. Whether you’re after something low-key and local or more comfortable and relaxing, here are my top picks for where to stay by the beach in Siquijor.

Beach Resorts in Siquijor Philippines – My Experience

Let’s start things off with a quick intro and my personal experience staying in beach resorts in Siquijor. I like starting this way so you actually get a feel for what it was really like during my 10 days on the island, rather than me just listing hotel features.

Like I mentioned earlier, Siquijor is a bit rougher around the edges compared to other Philippine islands. It’s not as polished or developed as places like Siargao or Bohol, and you can feel that in everything, from the restaurants to the resorts. You won’t find high-end chains like the Four Seasons or Hilton here. Instead, resorts tend to be smaller, more low-key, and definitely more character-filled. They’re cozy, relaxed, and have a really cool laid-back island charm. I found there was actually some really nice beachfront resorts in Siquijor Philippines.

I personally stayed at Runik Beach Resort, which is an adults-only glamping-style resort with a beach club and pool. The vibe there was fun and social, kind of the only place in Siquijor that had that Bali-esque beach club feel. It was a good time and perfect for a couple of livelier days.

Another spot I really liked was Coco Grove Beach Resort. I didn’t stay there, but I went for dinner at their restaurant and got a little tour from the staff (who were honestly so sweet). It looked like a really charming island resort, peaceful, friendly, and beautifully maintained.

So yeah, if you’re after something a little more unique, quieter, and with a lot more character than the bigger resort islands, Siquijor is a great choice. Just go in with the right expectations, things here aren’t always polished, but if you’re okay with that, you’ll love it.

1. Coco Grove Beach Resort, Siquijor Island

In My Opinion, The Best Resort in Siquijor!

Probably my favorite beach resort in Siquijor is Coco Grove Beach Resort. I’d driven past it a bunch of times, its bright terracotta-orange buildings really stand out along the main road in San Juan. But it wasn’t until I actually went in for dinner one night that I realized how amazing the place is (It’s definitely one of the few luxury beach resorts in Siquijor Philippines).

As cheesy as it sounds, the whole setting feels kind of magical. The resort is tucked between palm trees right on the beach, and everything is spread out just enough that you really get that relaxed island vibe, walking from your room to the restaurant along sandy paths, under the palms, with the ocean right there.

The staff were super friendly and gave me a little tour of the place, including some of the empty rooms and suites. The rooms are really cute, spacious, well-kept, and perfect if you want something a bit more comfortable. But the real standout for me was the outdoor pool. It’s set right on the beach, surrounded by palm trees, and just looks like incredible.

I also had dinner at their on-site restaurant Salamandas and the food was great, classic Filipino dishes served in a beautiful beachside setting. Definitely one of the best resort experiences I had on the island, even just as a visitor.

2. Runik Siquijor Resort

I actually stayed at Runik Siquijor Resort for a couple of nights myself, and to be honest, I had a great experience.

Before booking, I had noticed the place had a few mediocre reviews on Google, but I think those mostly come from people visiting the beach club for the day, not actual resort guests. As someone who stayed there, I genuinely had no complaints.

The glamping tents are super spacious and really well designed—probably some of the nicest glamping setups I’ve seen so far. And yes, they come with air conditioning, which made all the difference. I slept like a baby.

The beach club was also a nice place to hang out. I never felt ignored by the staff, if anything, they were super attentive (maybe they prioritize resort guests, who knows).

That said, I will admit that Runik doesn’t exactly match the overall vibe of Siquijor. It’s flashier, more polished, and a little upscale, honestly, it would probably fit in better in Siargao or Boracay. But even so, I really enjoyed my stay and thought it was a fun change of pace.

3. Salamangka Siquijor Island Resort

This is the best mid-range beach resort in Siquijor Philippines!

Salamanca Beach Resort Siquijor is a really solid midrange option. It’s located just a bit outside of San Juan, located right along the beach in a peaceful, quiet spot.

The resort has a pool with an ocean view, a restaurant, and even a small gym, which isn’t super common on Siquijor. The rooms are a bit more on the simple side, but they’re clean, tidy, and totally comfortable. Honestly, for what you’re paying, it’s great value.

The private rooms are spacious, come with their own bathrooms, and overall make for a really relaxed and no-fuss stay by the beach.

4. Dolce Amore Resort

I actually found Dolce Amore Resort because of their restaurant and let me just say, I was obsessed with the pizza. If you didn’t know, Dolce Amore is home to what I honestly think is the best Italian food in the Philippines. It’s run by Italians, and all the ingredients are imported from Italy. We’re talking legit pizza, arancini, bruschetta, it’s the real deal. So yes, definitely come here for a meal when you’re in Siquijor.

Ok, now about the resort. It’s not beachfront, I’ll admit that, but I still wanted to include it—sue me. It’s more of a boutique-style hotel with a gorgeous pool, cozy rooms, and a really peaceful, well-kept vibe. Plus, it’s just a short ride from Paliton Beach, so if you want something close to the beach that’s a little more polished and charming, this is a great pick.

And again… the in-house restaurant. Game changer.

5. U Story Resort Siquijor

U Story Resort definitely feels a little different from the other beach resorts in Siquijor and I mean that in a good way. The setting of the resort is gorgeous. You’re right by the ocean, but fair warning: this isn’t your typical white-sand beach setup. There’s no actual sandy beach here, it’s all cliffs and rocky shoreline. They’ve built stairs that lead straight into the sea though so you can still go for a swim.

The pool area is definitely a highlight. It’s set in a lush little garden and just feels really relaxing, like the kind of place you’d want to chill all day with a book or a drink (or both). It’s not a party place and it’s not trying to be.

So if you’re after something quiet, aesthetic, and a bit tucked away from the busier San Juan vibe, this is a great pick. Just don’t come expecting powdery sand and beach bars.

6. Blue Joys MSR

Blue Joys MSR is one of those places in Siquijor that just feels a little more local, if that makes sense. It’s not super polished or trying to be flashy, but it’s still really relaxing and beautiful in its own way. The kind of spot where you immediately feel like slowing down.

The rooms here are simple and spacious, each with a private bathroom and a nice little view. Nothing fancy, but totally comfortable and chill.

The real standout, though, is the outdoor pool. It’s big, with a wide deck that overlooks the ocean, perfect for hanging out with a cocktail or some lunch while enjoying the views. Honestly, the pool setup alone makes it worth considering.

Just keep in mind that the location is a bit more remote, so if you’re planning to explore the island or go out for dinner in town, I’d recommend having a scooter (or at least organizing a driver). But if you’re just after a peaceful place to relax by the pool with an amazing view, this one’s a fantastic pick.

7. Lazi Beach Club Resort

This is one of the best affordable Siquijor resorts

Lazi Beach Club Resort is actually my favorite cheap resort in Siquijor. Everything here feels a bit more local and Filipino, but in the best way possible. The rooms are cozy little villas with air conditioning, and they’re literally right by the ocean.

There’s a beautiful pool overlooking the water, plus an on-site restaurant and beach bar. The food is surprisingly good, especially breakfast and lunch and everything is super affordable. Honestly, the value for money here is kind of wild. You can get a private room for around $30 a night at a beachfront resort with a pool, can’t really beat that.

If you’re looking for something simple, peaceful, and right on the water without spending much, this place is a gem.
