If you love good coffee, cool atmospheres, and cafes with unreal ocean views, then you’re going to have a very good time in Busan. The cafe scene here is seriously next level. From sleek minimalist coffee bars to cozy spots perched right along the coastline, there are so many cafes in Busan where the vibe is just as good as the coffee.

I’m a huge coffee lover, and finding great cafes is always a big part of how I experience a new place. When I was in Busan, coffee stops quickly became one of my favorite parts of the day.

Whether it was warming up with a latte after a coastal walk or watching the sunset over the water with a drink in hand, the city has a way of turning a simple coffee stop into a full experience.

The Best Cafes in Busan – My Experience Finding the Best Coffee in Busan 

I did a lot of research when it came to cafes in Busan. I only had three days in the city and I didn’t want to miss anything… which of course means I still missed a few. I haven’t personally been to every single cafe on this list, but during my deep dives these were the ones that really stood out and felt worth a stop.

Depending on where you’re staying or what you’re doing that day, it’s pretty easy to work a few of these into your plans. A lot of my favorites ended up being near the beach, and honestly South Koreans have completely mastered the cafe vibe. Huge windows, tons of natural light, cool interiors, and really great coffee. Some of my favorite cafes from the entire Korea trip happened to be here, so if you already think the cafes in Seoul are good, just wait until you start exploring the ones in Busan.

1. Tide Roasters // My Favorite Cafe in Busan

This was easily my favorite cafe in Busan for both coffee and the view. We stopped here after walking along Haeundae Blue Line Park, and it honestly felt like the perfect reward after a long coastal walk.

The cafe has a few small tables, but the real highlight is the long communal bar that seats around a dozen people. From there you can watch the baristas making beautiful coffees while looking straight out at the ocean and the tide rolling in… which suddenly makes the name make perfect sense.

We happened to arrive right before sunset, and it ended up being one of those unreal travel moments. The sky was perfectly clear and we watched this huge fireball of a sun drop down behind the bridge while sipping our coffee. I’m sure this place is gorgeous at any time of day, but at sunset it felt extra special.

Afterward we walked over to Haeundae Beach, wandered through the nearby street market, and it ended up being one of my favorite evenings in Busan.

2. Little Aus // Best Brunch Spot in Busan

If you’re craving a proper western-style breakfast while in Busan, I can’t recommend this spot enough. Little Aus is inspired by Australian brunch culture, and honestly it was exactly what I had been craving.

The flat whites were fantastic, and I ordered a nourish bowl with falafel and some of the best hummus I’ve had in a long time. It felt like the perfect reset after a few days of heavier meals. The space itself is really cozy too, with a mix of long communal tables and smaller tables for two, so it’s a great place to ease into the morning with a good coffee and a solid brunch.

3. Thrill on the Mug

​​I had seen Thrill on the Mug all over Instagram before coming to Busan. It has huge windows, dreamy interiors, and an incredible ocean view from high up on the cliffs. The space is designed with stadium-style seating, so almost everyone gets a great view looking out over the water.

That said, there were a couple things I didn’t realize before visiting. First, it’s pretty out of the way. You won’t just randomly end up here while exploring, you’ll need to plan to come. And second… it was so busy. The outdoor tables were closed because of strong winds, and the inside was absolutely packed.

We ended up sitting outside on a few steps instead because the inside felt a little stuffy. Even with the crowds though, the coffee was great and the view really is incredible. It ended up being one of the most memorable cafe stops of the trip, and I loved that we could still step outside and enjoy the ocean air since a lot of cafes in Busan are fully enclosed.

4. Chaseonchaek // Best Busan Cafe With a Sea View

If you find yourself near Gwangalli Beach, this is such a cozy spot to take a break. Chaseonchaek is known for its desserts and relaxed atmosphere, and it’s the kind of cafe where you can easily lose track of time.

I tried the black sesame cake along with an injeolmi latte and a five grain latte, and honestly all three were fantastic. The flavors were a little different from your typical cafe order, but in the best way.

It’s definitely a popular place, so you might not snag one of the window seats overlooking the beach. That said, the rest of the cafe has a really warm, traditional feel that makes it cozy no matter where you sit. Another nice bonus is that they also have gluten-free dessert options, which can be surprisingly hard to find.

5. Working Holiday

I’ve never once wanted to work while on holiday… but this cafe definitely had me reconsidering. Working Holiday has these gorgeous windows looking out toward the beach, and the lighting is somehow perfect. Bright enough to enjoy the view but not so bright that it makes staring at a laptop screen painful.

There are tons of comfortable spots to sit, whether you want to settle in for a bit or just relax with a coffee. What I liked most though is that it doesn’t feel overly “digital nomad.” You can absolutely post up with a laptop, but it’s just as great for grabbing a latte and a solid brunch and enjoying the space. Overall, this is easily one of the top-tier cafes in Busan.

6. Coralani

Coralani feels less like a typical cafe and more like a little coastal resort. It sits right along the water in Busan and the building itself is huge, spread across multiple levels with really cool architecture that almost feels like part art installation.

The best part is definitely the outdoor seating areas. There are these tiered deck sections that look out over the ocean and give the whole place a relaxed beach-club vibe, just without the sand. There’s a quieter seating area on the lower level, but the most popular spot is the upper terrace where the views really open up.

The coffee and food are great, though a little on the pricier side, which makes sense once you see the setting. I recommend pairing this cafe with a visit to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, since it’s right nearby.

7. Having Moment

Let’s just say Having Moment is definitely having its moment right now. This cafe has gotten really popular lately, and once I walked in, it was pretty obvious why. The space has these cool warehouse-style vibes, and the views looking out over the ocean with the Busan skyline in the background are seriously good.

The coffee was fairly priced and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you could easily spend an afternoon hanging out, enjoying the view, and slowly working through some treats and a coffee.

8. Jeonpo Cafe Street // Unique Cafes in Busan

My hotel in Seomyeon was right in the city center, which made it perfect for wandering around, and just a short walk away is the famous Jeonpo Cafe Street. If you’re even a little bit into coffee, this street is absolutely worth a stroll.

When I was there I stopped into Raw & Sweet, which has since moved locations, but the whole area is packed with great cafes. As soon as you turn onto the street, you’ll smell coffee beans roasting and see one cool cafe after another. Honestly, the best way to experience it is just to wander, pop into whichever place catches your eye, and enjoy a slow coffee break.

There are honestly so many great cafes in Busan that you could probably spend weeks trying to visit them all. Every neighborhood seems to have its own little coffee spots, and half the fun is just wandering in and seeing what you find.

If I had to pick a couple favorites though, Tide Roasters and Chaseonchaek would be at the top of my list, mostly for those incredible views. But honestly, anywhere you stop for a coffee in Busan is probably going to be a good decision.
