The 7 Best Cafes in Kuta Lombok: My Favorite Coffee Shops in 2026

If you’ve ever read any of my other articles, then you probably know by now that I am a huge coffee lover. I really enjoy going to nice cafes pretty much anywhere I go.

The same thing happened in Kuta Lombok; I naturally made it my mission to find some really good coffee and breakfast. I stayed here for over two months, so I had plenty of time to try multiple restaurants and coffee shops in town.

I know from my own experience how frustrating it is finding good food, and it’s even more frustrating if I pick a restaurant and then it isn’t good. Whether it’s mediocre coffee or average food, it’s just so frustrating and honestly, it makes me angry.

My idea for this little guide is to give you some honest recommendations of cafes in Kuta Lombok that I have actually been to and would honestly recommend to you. I have a fairly high bar when it comes to coffee and cafes, so you can be sure that all the restaurants in this guide are solid. So, let’s get into it.

The 7 Best Cafes in Kuta Lombok: My Favorite Coffee Shops in 2026

What Are The Best Cafes in Kuta Lombok? My Experience

I spent over two months living in Kuta Lombok, and I honestly loved it. I could go surfing whenever I wanted, and since I’m working remotely, I was able to fully embrace that digital nomad life, working from cafes and just enjoying the island pace.

During that time, I honestly think I tried almost every single cafe in Kuta Lombok. It’s a bit crazy, I know, but I genuinely enjoy going for a coffee every day, and I made it a habit to try a new place as often as I could.

Funny enough, before I arrived in Kuta Lombok, I had absolutely no expectations of what it would be like. I had no idea the coffee scene here is pretty much on the same level as in Bali. In fact, Kuta Lombok felt very much like a “mini Bali” to me (I mean this in a good way btw), just without being so overrun and overbuilt.

If I had to pick my top three out of this list, I would definitely put Kenza up there because it’s just such a solid brunch restaurant with great food and great coffee right in the center of town.

I also really liked Bara, which, with its aesthetic, feels very Bali and even has a really pretty pool that I’ve used more than just once.

And lastly, I really love Folk Cafe. It’s kind of far out of Kuta town, but it’s located on top of a hill and offers some of the most amazing views over the ocean. I usually drive my scooter there because it’s a bit of a mission to get to but I’d say it’s super worth it. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, but I’ll make sure to get into it more down below.

The 7 Best Cafes in Kuta Lombok: My Favorite Coffee Shops in 2026
This is actually my favorite sandwich shop in Kuta Lombok ‘Pausa’. I did not mention it in this guide here, but it’s in my ‘best restaurants in Kuta Lombok‘ Guide so make sure to check it out!

1. Kenza Cafe (This is My Favorite Cafe in Kuta Lombok)

Opening Hours: 1am-11pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location

One of my favorite cafes I’ve been to many times is definitely Kenza Cafe. It’s located right in the center of Kuta Lombok in a prime location, so it’s probably one of the most popular cafes in town. Even with that popularity, they have plenty of seating, and I don’t think I ever had to wait longer than 10 minutes to grab a table.

I visited Kenza about three times while staying in Kuta, so I actually managed to try quite a few of their dishes. I’ll be honest, one of my go-tos was definitely their avocado on toast with a poached egg and bacon on top, they do that really well.

I also tried their Turkish eggs, which is definitely one of my favorite breakfast dishes. The coffee at this cafe is top-notch, too; I usually go for a latte or a flat white, and the vibe overall is really chill.

The only downside is that sitting on the patio did get a little loud sometimes because it’s right by the main road. But after being in Southeast Asia for so long, I feel like that’s just something I’ve gotten used to.

2. Milk

Opening Hours: 6:30am-4:30pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location

I’m never quite sure which is my absolute favorite brunch restaurant in Kuta Lombok, but if you asked me, there’s a high chance I’d say Milk

I’ve tried to come here a couple of times and often met a huge line out the door. I’m saying this upfront so you know this is one of the most popular restaurants in town, so I highly recommend coming early.

One of my favorite things about Milk is definitely the design and decor. The place looks super cool, and yes, it’s definitely “Instagrammable” too. Anyway, don’t worry: the food here is also amazing; it’s not just about the looks.

I’ve only been here once, but I really loved it. We had the Turkish eggs (again, I know, I feel like I always order the same things when I go out for brunch!) and the eggs Benedict, and both were incredible. They also have some really yummy-looking pastries there which I didn’t get to try, but I bet they’re delicious.

3. Folk Cafe

Opening Hours: 6am-5pm
Price: $
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location

Without a doubt, the cafe restaurant in all of Kuta Lombok with the best views has to be Folk Cafe. I didn’t know about this place until a friend told me, and honestly, I’m so impressed with it. Folk Cafe is a little out of town, but it’s located high up on a hill with some ridiculous views over the ocean.

I had a scooter the entire time I lived in Kuta to get around, and I would recommend the same to you because when we drove there, I think it took us at least 30 minutes to get there if I had to guess. But anyways, it was for sure worth it.

As far as the food goes, it’s really solid. Like, maybe not the absolute best out of all the places on this list, but I had a chicken Buddha bowl and a coffee, and both were really good. Paired with those views? 100% worth it.

4. Bara (I Would Come Here Every Week to Buy Their Sourdough Bread, It’s Really Yummy)

Opening Hours: 7:30am-11pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location

Bara in Kuta Lombok is what I would describe as the most “Bali-looking” place out of all the cafes I have mentioned here. I guess it’s kind of up to you whether that’s a good thing or not, but I think it’s pretty cute and vibey. I’ll add some pictures below so you know exactly what design I’m talking about.

As a location, Bara is really cool, with super stylish design and decor. They actually have a pool right in the restaurant, which gives it kind of “pool club” vibes, and with how hot it was while I was in Lombok, I definitely used that pool many times!

On top of that, Bara has its own bakery in the back of the restaurant. This is where I would buy my sourdough every week, since I often preferred having breakfast or sandwiches at home; even though I love going out, I’m not doing it every single day.

The food itself at Bara is also super yummy. I’m a huge fan of their scrambled eggs and I like them as chili scrambled eggs, but also with ham and feta, and then, of course, served with their in-house baked sourdough.

5. Bush Radio

Opening Hours: 7:30am-9:30pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location

Bush Radio is one of the more popular cafes in Kuta Lombok. It’s located right next to Milk and Kenza in the center of town, and I really like it for its design, it has kind of an industrial warehouse vibe, which is pretty cool.

I’ll be honest, I’ve only been here once, but the coffee and food were both fantastic. It’s always busy, so I’m sure it’s a great restaurant. I had their grilled cheese, which was tasty, and then we also had a smoothie bowl with dragon fruit and berries, paired with two fantastic flat whites. It really is a very solid, cool restaurant for breakfast.

6. Munchies Kuta Lombok

Opening Hours: 7:30am-11pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location

I’m actually adding Munchies to this list right at the last second because I totally forgot about it until I was finishing up the article! It’s a really cool little spot that serves amazing brunch and breakfast, and honestly, looking back, I really wish I’d gone there more often.

The design here feels a bit more elevated and stylish, which I really liked. It’s located right in the middle of town, near Kenza and Bush Radio, and has very much of a Bali aesthetic with plenty of rattan and a breezy, open-air layout.

The coffee is fantastic, and they do some great egg dishes. I had a really tasty breakfast here once, and it’s definitely one of the best cafes in Kuta Lombok if you’re looking for a solid brunch. It’s also a great spot if you’re a digital nomad like me, as they have plenty of power outlets and the Wi-Fi is actually quite reliable for getting a bit of work done while you eat.

7. Piccolo Lombok

Opening Hours: 7am-3pm
Price: $
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location

Piccolo Lombok is basically my “home cafe” in a sense that I stayed literally right next to it in Mewali Villas (which, by the way, were super cute, and whenever I’m back in Kuta, I’ll probably stay there again).

For a start, I have to give a huge shoutout to the staff here. The guys working there were the nicest, sweetest locals I’ve met; they were always down for a chat and joking around.

The coffee was also great and honestly, maybe the best flat white I’ve had in all of Lombok, and their food is fantastic too.

Naturally, I came here countless times because it was literally right on my doorstep. It’s a little on the outskirts of town, and while I wouldn’t say you have to make a special trip if you’re staying far away, if you are in the area, then it’s 100% a great spot for coffee and breakfast.
