The 9 Best Restaurants in Kuta Lombok: My Favorite Foodie Spots 2026
When I first arrived in Kuta Lombok, I’ll be honest: I had zero expectations for the food scene. I just assumed I’d be rotating between a few basic local restaurants for the next couple of months between surf and work sessions, and that was it.
Well, I was majorly wrong.
I ended up staying in Kuta for over two months, and I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the food here. Kuta actually has some incredible international restaurants that I really loved, from Italian and Mexican to Greek, mixed in with a bunch of local warungs where I actually ended up eating multiple nights of the week.
As a massive foodie, I made it a mission to eat my way through as much of the town as I possibly could. I know how annoying it is to wander around town when you’re already hangry, so I put together this list of the spots I’ve actually been to myself, tried, and would genuinely recommend to you guys.

What Are the Best Restaurants in Kuta Lombok? My Experience
As I’ve already mentioned, I had zero expectations when I first came to Kuta Lombok, so I was happily surprised when I realized just how incredible the food scene is here.
I often feel like I don’t want to compare Lombok to Bali, but on the other hand, it’s honestly one of the easiest ways to describe the vibe.
From a foodie perspective, it’s right up there. Bali has some incredible international restaurants, and Kuta Lombok is definitely on that same level. In some ways, Kuta always feels like a “mini Bali” to me, but only in the best way possible. It has all those amazing cafes, coworking spots, and surf culture, just without the overtourism and overdevelopment that has ruined Bali a little bit.
Anyway, back to the food. I’ve put together this list of my favorite restaurants based only on places I actually visited myself. I’ve tried to include a real mix of things, so there’s everything from my favorite lunch sandwich bar (where, by the way, I found some incredible focaccia sandwiches) to pizza spots, Greek food, and even a Mexican restaurant that has no business being that good.
If I had to pick my top three out of this list, the places I would 100% recommend, the first would probably be Elamu Lombok. It’s a Greek restaurant that just gets it right; they have amazing meats and super tasty pita bread.
Then I also loved the pizza at Mama’s Pizza. It was just so good that I went back a few times, their burrata pizza specifically is delicious. And then I also really enjoyed the local food at Warung Ombak where I ate countless times, because their chicken skewers in peanut sauce are just phenomenal.

1. Elamu Lombok (My Favorite Restaurant in Kuta Lombok)
Opening Hours: 7am-11pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
This list is definitely not a ranking, but I’ll start things off with one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Kuta Lombok: Elamu. I think I visited Elamu about three times during my 2.5-month stay, which says a lot because I usually like to try new things but I just loved it that much.
I enjoyed coming here most for dinner because the restaurant has a really cool, European island vibe. With the dimmed lights, you’ll see some people dressing up a bit to come here, so it feels like a nice night out (though don’t worry, it isn’t a “fancy” or pretentious restaurant at all).
As far as the food goes, I’ve pretty much tried everything. We loved sharing their different meat platters, especially since they come with unlimited pita bread, which is always a win in my book.
I also tried a bunch of their other dishes, like the shawarma and the moussaka, which was fantastic. To top it off, I had a few glasses of wine there; I really do love a good glass of wine, so whenever I find a spot that serves a decent one, I’ll definitely take advantage of it.

2. Mama’s Pizza (My Top Pizza in Kuta Lombok)
Opening Hours: 12pm-9:30pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
My absolute favorite pizza in Kuta Lombok is Mama’s Pizza, though it’s a really close call with Pizza Shack, which is also on this list.
I’m pretty picky when it comes to pizza; my standards are high, so I don’t say this lightly, but Mama’s is genuinely fantastic.
I’ve been here a couple of times, and I actually visited their Gili Air location right on the beach, too, which was equally amazing. My go-to is usually pepperoni, but I also tried their burrata pizza, and both were outstanding. They do a kind of Neapolitan-style pie with a fluffy, airy crust and super light dough.
A quick heads-up: definitely try to come early or be prepared to wait in line. I’ve seen some crazy queues out the door on weekends; it’s incredibly popular for a reason.

3. Cantina Mexicana
Opening Hours: 12pm-11pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Kuta Lombok is Cantina Mexicana, located right in the center of town.
I think I went there at least four or five times during my stay. I’m a huge fan of Mexican food, I’ve spent a lot of time in both the USA and Mexico, so it’s naturally one of my favorite cuisines.
It is usually pretty hard to find authentic Mexican food outside of North and South America, so I was genuinely surprised when I tried this restaurant. The food is so good that, even though I don’t have official confirmation, I’d bet money it’s owned by someone from Mexico or the US, it just has to be.
I tried a bunch of dishes here, from their different tacos to their burritos, quesadillas, and guacamole and, of course, their margaritas were excellent too. On top of the food, I really loved the vibe; it’s very lively with music playing, making it a fantastic restaurant for dinner and a few drinks before heading out to a bar.

4. Pausa Focaccia and Bakery
Opening Hours: 6:30am-9pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
If I’m not mistaken, Pausa Focaccia and Bakery only opened while I was living there, so I was probably one of the first people to actually try it. I was riding my scooter through town one day, saw this little shop, and just decided to stop by on a whim, and I am so happy I did.
As the name suggests, this restaurant is a bakery, and their focaccia sandwiches are absolutely incredible. I can’t remember 100% which ones I tried, but I’m pretty sure I had a sandwich with a chicken cutlet, and another with tomato and mozzarella. They were amazing, with their homemade focaccia being both soft and crispy, not to mention huge, we definitely could have shared one instead of getting one each!

5. Warung Ombak (Best Warung in Kuta Lombok – I literally ate here about 20 times)
Opening Hours: 12pm-9pm
Price: $
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Number three on my list is my absolute favorite warung in Kuta. If you’re not familiar with the term, a warung is a local Indonesian eatery, and let me tell you, I’ve tried plenty of them in Kuta, and Ombak is the best of the bunch.
For a start, it’s incredibly affordable; I usually ended up paying around 3 USD for a full dinner and a drink. The menu isn’t huge, but I’d almost always go for their nasi goreng which comes with chicken skewers in peanut sauce that are just super tasty.
Their ayam goreng (fried chicken) is also a really good and reliable choice. I was lucky enough to live just a two-minute walk from here, so it became my go-to spot at least twice a week. It’s located just a little outside the main hustle of the town, but trust me, it is well worth the extra couple of minutes of travel for some genuine local food.

6. KRNK Bar & Restaurant
Opening Hours: 12pm-12am
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
I’m not necessarily a huge burger person, don’t get me wrong, I love a good burger, but I don’t eat them all that often. That said, whenever I do, I want to make sure it’s a quality one, and the best burger I found in all of Kuta Lombok was easily at KRNK.
The restaurant is actually really cool and they have their grill right out by the street, so you can smell the amazing meat grilling from miles away. A little word of warning: I definitely smelled like a burger afterward, but it was totally worth it.
I only visited this restaurant once, but I loved the experience. I had a draught beer, which isn’t very common to find in Indonesia, so I was happy about that, and paired it with their smash burger, which was delicious. I believe the smash burger was a special at the time, so I’m not sure if it’s always on the menu, but I’m certain their regular burgers are just as amazing.

7. Simonetta
Opening Hours: 7:30am-11pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Next up is Simonetta. I only went here once, but I really liked it and now that I’m thinking about it, I wish I would’ve gone more often. It’s a French restaurant right in the center of town that feels like a little slice of the South of France dropped in the middle of Lombok.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t have a full sit-down dinner here, but I stopped in for wine and some appetizers, and it was fantastic.
We each grabbed a glass of wine, which were really good and shared some olives and a cheese platter. As a European, after traveling through Asia for an extended time, you start to really crave proper cheese and cured meats (it’s just not the same over here as it is back home!), so whenever I find a spot like this, I make sure to take full advantage.

8. Granita
Opening Hours: 7:30am-4pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Granita is, next to Pausa, my second favorite sandwich restaurant in Kuta. Their sandwiches are usually served on a roll, baguette, or panini, and they are honestly so good. I’d recommend trying any of them because everything I had was super yummy, but my absolute favorite was the panini Caprese. They also have a bahn mi that was really good.
On top of the food, the coffee here is excellent, and I love the location and the vibe. I really enjoy everything about this restaurant; the only downside is that it’s a little bit outside of the main town area. For me, that wasn’t an issue since I had a scooter, but if you don’t have two wheels, you might struggle a little getting here.
Oh, and if I remember correctly, they do specials, and at least one day a week they did focaccia as well, which I really wanted to try but never got around to. If you go, you have to try it out and let me know how it is!

9. Pizza Shack
Opening Hours: 12pm-12am
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
And last, but definitely not least on my list, is Pizza Shack. Honestly, this restaurant is right up there with Mama’s Pizza for the title of best pizza in Kuta Lombok. If I’m being completely honest, I think I slightly prefer the pizza at Mama’s, but I much prefer the vibe at Pizza Shack.
They are both nice restaurants, but with the overall decor and atmosphere, I think Pizza Shack is just the cooler, more fun place to hang out. Maybe I would pick Mama’s Pizza for a quiet, chill night, but if I were looking for some beers and Aperol spritzes, I’m definitely picking Pizza Shack. I had the pepperotini pizza here, which was really great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

FAQs About Where to Eat in Kuta Lombok
What are the best restaurants in Kuta Lombok?
There are plenty of great restaurants in Kuta Lombok, but my favorite restaurants are Elamu, which is an amazing Greek restaurant with really yummy pita bread, and Mama’s Pizza, which serves real, fluffy Neapolitan pizza. Those are my two top restaurants I’d say.
Is Kuta Lombok worth visiting?
100% Lombok is worth it, at least in my opinion. I loved Kuta Lombok for its quieter vibe with less tourism, but also for its natural beauty, great surf, cool people, and just overall fun vibe. Especially because it’s just less overrun than Bali, which I think is why it’s a great alternative.
Where can I get the best pizza in Kuta Lombok?
Ugh, don’t ask me that because I can never decide! It’s between Mama’s Pizza and Pizza Shack. I think the vibe at Pizza Shack is more fun for sure, but at Mama’s Pizza, the pizza maybe is slightly better.
Where can I get the best local food in Kuta Lombok?
Without a doubt, the best Indonesian local food in Kuta Lombok is at Warung Ombak. I went there at least 20 times while I was in Kuta Lombok, I’m not even joking. Their peanut chicken and nasi goreng are really good and super cheap too.
Where can I find plant-based or vegan food in Kuta Lombok?
I actually used to be vegetarian for 5 years, and now I’m not anymore, but I totally understand someone looking for vegan or vegetarian food restaurants, because I’ve been there.
I usually try to go for all-cafe-type restaurants because they often have vegan options, and I think Kenza is a great restaurant for plant-based meals.
Final Thoughts on Best Kuta Lombok Restaurants
All in all, I have to say that Kuta Lombok is just heaven for foodies, and I’m saying that from my own experience. Considering how small this town is, the ratio or amount of good food and good restaurants is crazy, it’s almost like there is no bad restaurant to pick.
I really do think the Bali influence came over here, and offering high-quality, delicious food is just part of the tourism in Bali as well as in Lombok, but also on the Gili Islands, and honestly, I really love that part.
All the restaurants I put on this list I have tried myself and really enjoyed. There were a couple restaurants in Kuta Lombok that I didn’t enjoy so much, but it rarely ever happened that I went somewhere and thought, “Ugh, that wasn’t good”, like, not at all. So I hope that my little guide here can give you a good idea of what the food in Kuta Lombok is like and what the best restaurants in Kuta Lombok are, so you can get out there and dig in.
