So you’re planning a trip to Asia and trying to figure out if Seoul, South Korea is worth visiting, or if you’re better off spending that time (and money) in Tokyo or Bangkok instead. I get it. Seoul wasn’t originally on my travel bucket list either, but when I found a super cheap flight from…
Figuring out the best time to visit Seoul can feel a little overwhelming, mostly because every season offers something different. Some people swear by cherry blossom season, others love fall foliage, and then there’s summer… which, I’ll be honest, gets HOT!. I visited Seoul last fall, and it was honestly perfect. Walking around with the…
When I first started planning my trip to Seoul, I honestly had no idea what to expect or what I needed to know. On the map, neighborhoods started to blur together, and once I arrived, I quickly realized the city was way bigger than I had imagined. Luckily, I had 6 days in Seoul, so…
If you’re coming to Japan, have tattoos, and have looked into visiting an onsen, you’ve probably already realized there’s a bit of a problem. Tattoos in Japan are still fairly controversial. They’re often associated with organised crime (yakuza), which is why many public onsens don’t allow tattooed guests at all. That said, I personally never…
I spent about a week in Tokyo and made it a bit of a mission to explore the city as thoroughly as possible. If you haven’t heard of it yet or aren’t quite sure what TeamLab Planets actually is, I’d describe it as an immersive, interactive art experience. You…
Tokyo is an absolutely massive city with endless neighborhoods to explore and just as many things to do. Among the most talked-about experiences are the two TeamLab exhibitions in Tokyo: Teamlab Planets and Teamlab Borderless. Yes, there are two, and in this article I want to focus specifically on Teamlab Borderless. Teamlab Borderless is an…
In case you didn’t know this about me, I absolutely love a good flat white or pour over coffee. Give me a cute little café, solid coffee, and a calm vibe, and I’m happy. Wherever I travel, I make it my mission to hunt down the best coffee spots in the city. Luckily, Japan has…
I actually think Osaka is a bit underrated as far as major Japanese cities go. A lot of people I talked to said they were mainly going for Universal Studios Japan, which I get, and yes, I loved that too, but I ended up really loving the city itself. Osaka has amazing food, super fun…
