The 7 Best Cafes in Noosa: My Guide to the Top Coffee Spots

Australia has completely ruined me, in the best way, when it comes to coffee. Even the McDonald’s coffee here is better than what you’ll find at most places in the US. And honestly, it’s usually cheaper too.

But we’re not here for a Macca’s drive-thru, we want that good goo, and Noosa takes its café game seriously. Whether you’re grabbing a post-surf brekky by the beach or finding a cozy little corner in Noosaville, there are so many good cafes to choose from. So, where do you even start?

That’s where I come in. After a whole lot of “research” and “taste testing” (the hard life, I know), I’ve narrowed it down to the top 7 cafes in Noosa, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

7 Must-Try Cafes in Noosa

Noosa’s café scene is mostly split between two main areas, Noosa Heads and Noosaville, with a few gems scattered around the southern beaches too.

This list includes a mix from all of them, so no matter where you’re staying in Noosa, you’ll have a top-tier cafe nearby for your morning flat white and avo toast.

1. Depot Noosa // Most Popular Cafe in Noosa

Opening Hours: 5:30am-3pm
Menu & Location

If you’re visiting Noosa, you have to stop at The Depot. It’s one of the most popular cafes in town, and honestly, it’s easy to see why. The staff are lovely, the food is delish, and the location, right on the river in Noosaville, is hard to beat. It’s the perfect spot to fuel up before a paddle or a slow stroll along the water.

I had a cappuccino and the avo smash with perfectly poached eggs, and it was so, so good. The menu’s pretty big with loads of veggie options, so it’s great whether you’re heading there with friends or on a cute little breakfast date.

2. Moonstruck Noosa // Best Noosa Cafes Hastings Street

Opening Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 6:30am-1:30pm and Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6:30am-Late
Menu & Location

Moonstruck is my favorite cafe on Hastings Street. As soon as you step inside, it feels like you’ve wandered into a tiny European café. We were welcomed with warm lighting, marble mosaic floors, and a calm, cozy vibe that everyone wants in a cafe. Everything here feels super thoughtful, from the moody interiors to the perfectly curated coffee and gin menus. It’s a whole experience.

I had their breakfast bagel, which they make fresh in-house every morning, and wow. It was soft, warm, and packed with flavor. Pair that with one of the best coffees I had in Noosa, and I was in heaven. Honestly, I’d go back and book a table in the afternoon just to see this place transform into a gin bar and park myself there with a delicious meat & cheese board.

3. VanillaFood Organic Cafe // Best Cafes Noosa Junction

Opening Hours: 7am-2:30pm
Menu & Location

Tucked in Noosa Junction, VanillaFood is like the effortlessly cool big sister of the wholesome café scene. It’s all about organic, local produce, good vibes, and clean, nourishing food. The space itself is giving Bali meets Byron with wicker chairs, gorgeous tiles, natural tones… the kind of place that makes you want to eat something green and then go buy a linen jumpsuit.

I had the house-made focaccia with mortadella and whipped feta, and I think I could eat that every day. The bread was fluffy, the flavors were spot on, it was everything I needed after a morning Surf Lesson. Tons of veggie options too, so it’s a great pick if you’re after something healthy but still seriously satisfying.

4. Clandestino Coffee //  Best Coffee in Noosa Australia

Opening Hours: 6:30am-4pm
Menu & Location

If you’re serious about your coffee, Clandestino in Noosaville is a must. Tucked inside Belmondos Organic Market, this spot treats coffee like an art form, not just a caffeine fix. The space has a cool, industrial feel with a big community table in the middle, and they also have some private seating areas.

We grabbed a couple of strong, smooth coffees (so good we ended up buying a bag of beans to take home) we also split a cinnamon roll and it was amazing, I highly recommend! It’s definitely more of a locals’ hangout, and it totally delivered.

5. Hard Coffee Beach Cafe // Best Takeaway Coffee in Noosa

Opening Hours: 7am-3pm
Menu & Location

This one feels like a bit of a hidden gem. It’s tucked inside a food court on Hastings Street, so the vibe isn’t exactly dreamy café goals, but don’t let that put you off. The coffee and brunch here are seriously A1. Think perfect cappuccinos with just the right amount of milkiness and that classic dusting of cocoa on top. I want one just writing this!!

The food’s just as good. We had a fresh chicken focaccia and a pumpkin bruschetta, and both totally hit the spot. If you’re not into sitting in a food court, grab it all to go and head down to one of the beaches in Noosa; it’s the ultimate morning.

6. Sunshine Social Coffee Roasters // Best Cafe at Sunshine Beach Noosa

Opening Hours: 6am-1pm
Menu & Location

If you’re looking to escape the busyness of Noosa Heads or Noosaville, head to Sunshine Beach Road and hit up Sunshine Social. I’m fully obsessed with their whole vibe, coastal branding, chill energy, and some of the best post-swim coffee around. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and it just feels very… Australia, in the best way.

We swung by after a beach dip and grabbed a cold brew and latte (so good) plus some beans to take home for the fam. Highly recommend if you’re after a more laid-back, local-feeling spot that still takes its coffee seriously.

7. Skål Peregian Beach // Best Cafe at Peregian Beach Noosa

Opening Hours: 6am-2pm
Menu & Location

Skål in Peregian Beach was hands down my favorite brunch spot during our time in Noosa. Peregian already has that extra laid-back, low-key chic vibe, and this café fits right in. The space is bright and breezy, the staff are lovely, and the coffee, locally sourced beans from Little Cove Coffee, was spot on.

We went on a Saturday morning after checking out of our Noosa accommodation, and everything just felt fresh. We ordered the beef birria and a smoked salmon bagel, and both were insanely good. If you’re up for a little drive out of town, Skål is absolutely worth it.
