Oh Siargao… it took me a while to fall in love with you. I did eventually—but not gonna lie, it wasn’t love at first sight (and yes, the underwhelming beaches played a part in that). I’ve spent over two months on the island now, and while I was super skeptical at first, it slowly started to grow on me.
One of the biggest reasons I ended up loving it? The food scene. Come at me, but I’m calling it now—Siargao has the best food in the Philippines. Not even up for debate. There’s a bit of a Bali vibe here (on a much smaller scale), with loads of amazing little cafés, restaurants, and bars that are just plain fun to explore.
Today, I want to talk about my favorite coffee shops and cafés in Siargao. I’m a huge coffee lover (shoutout to three years living in Australia—if you know, you know), and these days, I’m a sucker for a good breakfast and the perfect flat white.
After basically trying every café on the island, I’ve narrowed it down to the best of the best. This isn’t just some generic roundup of every café in Siargao—that would be boring and definitely not very helpful. I’m only sharing the spots I actually loved, based on my own experience.
So let’s get into it—here’s my little guide to the best coffee shops and cafés in Siargao, Philippines.

What Are the Best Cafes in Siargao? We’ve Got the Answers
Alright—finding the best cafés in Siargao is actually not as easy as you’d think. There are so many now, and honestly, a lot of them just didn’t live up to the hype for me. I found the quality gap between some places to be pretty big, even though most of them have glowing reviews on Google. Confusing, right?
That’s exactly why I think posts like this one are helpful. You need an actual opinion—not just another 5-star rating from someone who’s maybe never had a proper flat white. (And no, I’m not saying the reviews are fake. I just think people have very different standards… or mine are just really high.)
Anyway, after trying way too many cafés on the island, I feel like I’ve got a solid idea of what’s worth your time—and what’s not. So here it is: my personal list of the 13 best cafes in Siargao, based on real experience and way too much caffeine.
One more thing—this list isn’t in any particular order. I liked all of these cafes for different reasons, so it’s not a ranking. Also, keep in mind that Siargao is a big island, but most of the action—especially when it comes to cafes and restaurants—is centered around General Luna. So naturally, most of the spots I’m mentioning here are in or near General Luna.

1. White Beard Coffee Shop // Best Coffee in Siargao
Opening Hours: 6am-5pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
When we first arrived in Siargao, our place was just a two-minute walk from White Beard Coffee. We Googled “coffee near me” and ended up there to kill time before check-in—and had no idea we’d just found one of the best coffees on the island. Honestly, maybe the best flat white I’ve had in the Philippines. Professionally made, silky smooth, and just flawless barista work.
The breakfast is also solid. It’s nothing fancy—think bacon, sausage, eggs, and French toast—but the portions are huge, so this is where I’d go when I was hungover or starving. They’ve also got some really tasty breakfast sandwiches if you want something quicker.
The location itself is open-air, no AC, but plenty of fans. I was usually fine, but after a hot coffee and a massive breakfast, I’d get a bit too warm. Just something to keep in mind. It also gets super busy in the mornings. I never got turned away, but I have seen people lining up.
And one last thing: White Beard is not a work café. No plugs, no Wi-Fi, and honestly they don’t want people sitting around on laptops. It’s loud, hot, and busy—definitely not the vibe if you’re trying to post up for a work session. Just grab your coffee, enjoy your breakfast, and head out.

2. Marmelade // My Favorite Coffee Shop in Siargao
Opening Hours: 7am-4pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
My number one favorite coffee shop in Siargao is for sure Marmelade—no question. It’s a tiny little café tucked away in Santa Fe, and funnily enough, we lived just down the road before they’d even officially opened. One day we literally knocked on their door, and they were like, “We open next week… but come in, we’ll make you a coffee.” And wow—what a coffee. From that first cup, I knew this was going to be my spot.
The menu is super simple: spot-on barista coffee, melty cheese toasties, and what might be the best banana bread I’ve ever had. No fluff, no fuss—just really good stuff.
We got to know the owners, Dom and Maan, a bit too. They’re two insanely talented and lovely women who used to work with some of Bali’s biggest names (Potato Head, KYND Community, Yuki). Now they’ve brought all that experience to Siargao and created this cozy, cool neighborhood gem. The vibe is relaxed, the coffee’s amazing, and it quickly became my daily ritual.

3. Coastal Grounds Coffee Siargao // Great Siargao Coffee Shop
Opening Hours: 7am-5pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Coastal Grounds is a bit of an institution in Siargao—probably the most popular coffee spot in General Luna. A big reason for that is the location. It’s right across from Cloud 9, the island’s most famous surf break, so it’s basically the place to grab a coffee before or after your session.
The coffee here is damn good. For some reason, I always end up ordering their Spanish latte (which is really good, to be fair), but I’ve been told by multiple people that the real standout is the shakerato—a kind of iced shaken espresso that’s apparently next level.
The food leans local, so if you’re into Filipino breakfasts like silog plates with rice, eggs, and meat—you’ll be happy. I’m not the biggest fan of that kind of breakfast, so I usually just stick with coffee.
I loved coming here after surf lessons to cool off inside with the AC and sip my latte. For that, it’s perfect. But if you’re after more of sit down breakfast vibe, I’d point you to Shaka Siargao, which is just around the corner.
4. Shaka Cafe Siargao // Best Cafe in Siargao with a View
Opening Hours: 6:30am-6:30pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Shaka Siargao is easily one of the coolest little cafes on the island when it comes to location. It’s right on the beach, with front-row views of the iconic Cloud 9 pier—can’t beat that.
The coffee’s good, and the food is all vegan, with a focus on smoothie bowls. They also serve up a few extras like vegan Middle Eastern and Mexican-style dishes, which were surprisingly decent. I came here mostly for the vibe though—super chill, good food, and those ocean views are just amazing.
What I didn’t know at the time is that Shaka isn’t just a Siargao thing. They’ve got locations across the Philippines and even in Thailand. I’ve since tried a few others, and fun fact: some of them even do pizza—and it’s really good. So keep your eyes peeled for Shaka spots while you’re hopping from island to island.

5. The Brunch Spot // Best Cafe with AC in Siargao
Opening Hours: 7am-6pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Siargao has a pretty unreliable power supply and network, so air conditioning isn’t always a thing—most cafes are outdoors or open-air. Usually, I’m fine with that. But on some scorching late mornings when the heat gets a bit too real, I head to The Brunch Spot.
It’s one of the few cute little indoor cafes on the island with actual AC. The decor is great, the space is cozy, and yep—the coffee is yummy.
My go-to order here is the chicken and waffles. Fluffy waffles stacked with crunchy deep-fried chicken, drenched in maple syrup. It’s huge, it’s indulgent, and I usually down it with a watermelon juice and leave happy.
Also a good spot to get a bit of work done on your laptop—just don’t be that person hogging a table for three hours during peak brunch rush.

6. Coco Frio // Best Cafe in Siargao for a Frozen Coconut Coffee
Opening Hours: 7:30am-5:20pm
Price: $
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Coco Frio is one of those places you have to try—even if it’s not technically a café. It’s right on Tourism Road and their signature drink is coffee-based, so I’m counting it. No regrets.
The whole place is basically just a wooden shack with a little hole-in-the-wall-style counter where you order, grab a plastic chair, and find yourself a spot to sit down.
We came here a bunch of times because it’s just that good. Their coconut coffee freeze is the star of the show—espresso, coconut milk, and their own handmade coconut ice cream all blended into one icy, creamy, coffee-y dream. Honestly, it hits so right on a hot day. Skip the debate, order it, and thank me later.

7. The Ohm Cafe // One of the Few Cafes in Siargao with a Pool
Opening Hours: 7:30am-10pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
The Ohm Cafe is my go-to when I’m desperate for a pool day. A lot of apartments in Siargao don’t come with pools, and let’s be honest—the beaches here aren’t exactly dreamy. So sometimes, you’ve gotta get creative.
At Ohm, you can use the pool as long as you order something. The breakfast is totally fine, very much a Filipino-style breakfast here. It’s not my favorite on the island, but if your main goal is lounging by a pool, it more than does the job. Priorities, right?
The iced lattes and juices here are definitely worth ordering, making it the perfect spot to hang out for a couple of hours and enjoy the sun.
8. Sunset Coffee Roasters // One of the Best Siargao Coffee Shops
Opening Hours: 7am-7:30pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Sunset is easily one of my favorite spots for coffee in Siargao—and it’s a proper coffee lover’s kind of place. You can really tell how much care the baristas put into every cup. Coffee is the main event here, and they treat it like an art form.
They do everything from pour overs and cold brews to espresso, matcha, and more. Plus, they rotate different beans, so there’s always something new to try. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit at the coffee bar, watch the baristas work their magic, and geek out over the details.
Food-wise, it’s mostly pastries and simple toasties in the morning. The focus here is definitely coffee. I’m an all-day coffee drinker, so I’d often swing by around 4pm, grab a coffee and an almond croissant, then head over to Sunset Bridge (right next door) to catch the sunset. Honestly, that was my ideal late afternoon.

9. Spotted Pig Cafe // Best Breakfast Siargao
Opening Hours: 7am-6pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
The Spotted Pig might be my favorite spot for a long, slow brunch. First of all—it’s indoors and air-conditioned, which instantly makes it more appealing when you’re melting in that late-morning heat. They also have fast Wi-Fi, so it’s a decent place to get some work done (though it does get busy, so it really depends on the day).
Food-wise, everything I tried was great. I had the eggs benedict, avo toast, and the Reuben sandwich—each one was super tasty and really filling. Definitely one of the better brunch menus in Siargao and it’s also an all day breakfast menu. The service is friendly and the vibe is relaxed, so it’s an easy spot to hang out for a while.
That said, The Spotted Pig is on the pricier side. I wouldn’t say it’s that much better than other cafes, but it is more expensive—just something to keep in mind. If you’re on vacation and don’t care about a few extra bucks on the bill, then it’s totally worth it.
One more thing: the space is pretty small and often full. When that happens, they’ll usually send you around the back to Las Palmas (a resort), where you can still order from The Spotted Pig and sit in their restaurant. It’s a nice spot too, just without the AC.

10. Goodies // Super Cute Brunch Spot in Siargao
Opening Hours: 7am-11pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
I love the Goodie’s Paninis!
Goodies is located on Tourism Road in Siargao, right across from The Spotted Pig. I’ve only been once (no idea why I didn’t go back—it was great!), but I really liked it. I had an iced latte, which was spot on, and then Cara and I shared their chicken pesto panini and the avocado crepe. The crepe was okay, but the chicken pesto panini was super delicious—probably their best-seller for a reason.
They also have a cute little shop inside with boho-style clothes, caps, bags, and accessories. It looked like a great spot to grab some souvenirs, even though I didn’t end up buying anything.

11. Sunday Siargao // Best Cafe to Work from in Siargao
Opening Hours: 24hr Workspace
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Sunday Siargao is also one of the best cheap cafes in Siargao!
Sunday Siargao was our go-to spot whenever we wanted to get some work done from a café—and here’s why.
First of all, they have a small dedicated work area, which makes a big difference. You never feel awkward about sitting with your laptop for a few hours, and that little section kind of gives you permission to stay as long as you need. The space is free to use, and of course, we’d always order food and drinks while we were there.
Their coffee is surprisingly good, and we usually went for their lunch menu—especially the fried teriyaki chicken bowls or one of the smoothie bowls. Personally, I think the lunch menu is stronger than the breakfast one.
However, my favorite part here is that for a small fee of 200 PHP (just over $3 USD), you’re allowed to use the pool too. So we’d basically spend the whole day here—working, eating, hanging out by the pool. Total win.

12. Saint Thomas Coffee // The Coolest Coffee Shop in Siargao
Opening Hours: 7am-6pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
Saint Thomas Coffee feels like a Melbourne and Bali coffee shop had a baby and dropped it off in Siargao.
I just love the whole design and aesthetic of the place—it’s surrounded by lush greenery and has that super clean, minimalist polished concrete vibe. It just works. There’s also a really cool rooftop hangout area, perfect for enjoying the good weather when it’s not too hot.
Now, the coffee couldn’t be better in my opinion. I always got the flat white (because I’m obsessed), and it was honestly spot on every single time. No notes.
Saint Thomas is very much a coffee-first kind of place. They do offer pastries—think muffins, banana bread, that sort of thing—but it’s not the place for a full sit-down breakfast. More of a perfect 11 a.m. coffee-and-pastry break kind of vibe.
13. Vedya Siargao // Best Cafe in Siargao for Vegans
Opening Hours: 7:30am-3pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Vedya is such a vibe. Before I even get into the coffee and breakfast—can we just talk about how stunning the place is? It’s not just a café, it’s also a beautifully designed, upscale boutique hostel that’s basically made for bougie backpackers and digital nomads who still pretend they don’t need air conditioning. Definitely worth checking out if that’s your scene.
Now, onto the food: their menu is entirely vegan, and their drinks are vegetarian-friendly (yes to milk and honey). I love that—it feels a little cleaner and healthier, especially when you’ve been eating fried stuff for days.
I had the falafel hummus bowl, which was delicious, and Carae got the pink dragon fruit smoothie bowl, which looked like it came straight off a Bali café Instagram and tasted just as good.
The coffee is totally on point. And the overall atmosphere here is very relaxed. If you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just want a break from the usual eggs and bacon routine, this is your breakfast spot.

FAQs About the Best Cafes in Siargao Island
Where’s the best breakfast in Siargao?
If I had to pick just one? Probably Marmelade for the food and vibe combo, but Spotted Pig is a strong contender too—especially if you’re in the mood for something a little bougier (and don’t mind a slightly higher bill). Honestly though, there are so many good breakfast spots in Siargao, you can’t really go wrong.
What are the best Siargao cafes?
You’re spoiled for choice. My personal favorites are Marmelade, White Beard Coffee, Sunset Coffee Roasters, and Saint Thomas if you’re a coffee nerd. Sunday Siargao is great if you’re working on your laptop, and The Brunch Spot wins for AC and comfort.
What are the best restaurants in Siargao?
This is a whole separate guide (and yes, I might just write it), but off the top of my head: Kermit for Italian, Cev for Ceviche, and Siargao Hawker if you want some tasty Laksa straight out of Singapore.
What are good bars in Siargao?
If you’re looking for a fun night out, Last Chance and Sibol Siargao are my two favorite bars to visit. Last Chance has a super cool and tasteful cocktail vibe, while Sibol Siargao is fantastic if you’re looking for a busier spot with great live music.
Final Thoughts on Coffee Shops in Siargao
After spending a few months bouncing around the Philippines, I can confidently say this: Siargao has the best food. Full stop. And yes, the best cafés in the country too—by far.
There are just so many good spots here, and honestly, I wish I could teleport back for a few days just to eat my way through them all again. If I had to pick favorites (don’t make me), I’d probably say Marmelade and White Beard. I went to both more times than I can count, and they delivered every single time—no fuss, no flop, just consistently good vibes and great food.
I hope my little round-up helped you figure out where you’re grabbing your next coffee or breakfast in Siargao. Go enjoy it for me too, will ya?
