If you asked me to name my favorite place in the Philippines, there’s a high chance I’d say Siargao. And while there are many reasons why I love this island, one of the big ones is the food. Like, seriously.
In my humble (but well-fed) opinion, Siargao has the best food scene in the entire country. I know, I know—locals from other parts of the Philippines might strongly disagree. But as a traveler who’s eaten my way through quite a few islands, Siargao just wins. No question.
When I first arrived, I was almost overwhelmed by how many good restaurants there were—and since I stayed for a while, I made it my mission to try as many as I could.
Siargao kind of has that little-Bali energy, but without the chaos and traffic. You’ve got amazing cafes and restaurants, a laid-back surf vibe, coworking spots, and a fun mix of locals, expats, and digital nomads all doing their thing.
So here’s my personal guide to the best restaurants in Siargao—based on way too many meals, a slightly ridiculous number of smoothie bowla, and one happy stomach.

What are the Best Siargao Restaurants? I’ve got all the answers right here!
Alright, so when I first arrived in Siargao, it definitely took a minute to figure out where the actual good food was—and what spots were a bit, well… overhyped. Just to clarify: when I say “Siargao” in this guide, I’m mostly talking about General Luna, which is the main tourist town and the heart of the island’s food scene.
This is where all the top-tier cafes and restaurants are—at least the ones worth writing home about. When I checked Google Maps, there were tons of places with great reviews, but I quickly learned that a good google rating doesn’t always mean the food is anything special. Maybe my standards are too high (possible), or maybe people just really love rating average places five stars (also possible).
But once I got chatting with people, swapping recommendations, and doing the hard work of eating my way through the island (someone’s gotta do it), I found some absolutely amazing places. Places where the food actually lives up to the hype.
I already put together a full-on guide to the best cafes in Siargao, but now it’s time for the full-on guide on Siargao restaurants. Before we get into the full list though, let me quickly shout out two of my personal faves:
- Cev – hands-down the best place for fresh seafood, especially if you’re into ceviche or kinilaw. This place is so good and easily one of the standouts on the island.
- Kermit – if you’ve been traveling around the Philippines for a while and you’re craving real Italian food, the food here will hit the spot. Authentic carbonara, pepperoni pizza, homemade pasta—it’s just everything you want from a great, feel-good Italian restaurant.
1. Cev Siargao // Best Restaurant in Siargao
This is a must eat in Siargao!!
Opening Hours: 12pm-3pm, 5:30pm-9pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
I’ve been to Cev a couple of times, and I’m just gonna say it—this is the best Siargao seafood restaurant. I know everyone has their own opinions, but that’s just my personal take!
Cev just nails so many things at once that I almost don’t know where to start. Let’s begin with the obvious: the location is lovely. It’s got that effortlessly cool island vibe—simple, cozy, and tropical—but still feels elevated, like you’re actually out for a nice dinner and not just grabbing a bite after the beach.
The cocktail bar is so good. We had the basil mojito and it was super refreshing, but the real star of the show here is (unsurprisingly) the ceviche. Between Carae and I, we’ve had a lot of ceviche—Peru, Mexico, you name it—and this place seriously holds its own. Fresh, citrusy, and absolutely delicious.
We also tried the Kinilaw, which is kind of like the Filipino version of ceviche—raw fish, marinated in vinegar and calamansi. The one we had came with a roasted bell pepper sauce, eggplant, and crispy pork belly on top. It was such a delicious combo. And if you’re into appetizers, get the fish spring rolls, I was obsessed with them.
Another thing I loved was that some of the staff actually go out and catch the fish themselves in the morning (you can see it on their Instagram). When we were there, they had just caught a massive swordfish that morning, so pretty much the whole menu featured it. Doesn’t get much fresher than that.
Little tip: make a reservation if you can—this place books out a couple of days in advance. That said, they only do one reservation per table per night, so you can actually rock up as a walk-in at 6 PM (that’s what we did) and still get a spot before the late reservations arrive. By 8 PM there was a huge line outside, so yeah—if you’re skipping the reservation, go early. Trust me.

2. Kermit // Best Pizza Restaurant in Siargao Philippines
Opening Hours: 11am-10pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
If you’ve been traveling around Southeast Asia for a while—especially the Philippines—you’ll know the craving. That I-need-something-familiar moment. And when that hits, Kermit is where you go.
Kermit is technically a surf resort ( Kermit Surf Resort ), but their Italian restaurant is the real star of the show. The pizza here is the best in Siargao in my opinion. Don’t even waste your time trying somewhere else. We kept coming back for their pepperoni pizza—crispy edges, melty cheese, and it always comes with this wild chili dipping sauce that’s so spicy it’ll make you question your life choices (in a good way).
We also had their carbonara, which is actually made the real way—no cream in sight, just egg, cheese, and bacon. Add a cold beer or a glass of wine and you’ve got yourself a perfect little escape from rice and adobo (no offense, I still love you, Filipino food).
Kermit is one of those places that just gets it right—comfort food, island vibes, and that little hit of Western familiarity when you need it most.

3. Bravo Restaurant Siargao // Best Siargao Restaurants with a View
Opening Hours: 7am-11pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Bravo is hands down one of the coolest spots in Siargao. Honestly, even if you took the food out of the equation (which you shouldn’t), you’d still want to come here just for the vibe. It’s a beach resort (with some pretty beautiful rooms if you’re in the mood to splurge), but the beachfront restaurant is what we’re talking about today.
Right next to the restaurant, there’s a bar and a skate bowl (yes, a legit bowl) with a massive wooden shark hanging overhead. It sounds a little random, but trust me, it looks so cool. It’s especially fun in the evenings when skaters show up, and you can just sit back with a drink and watch them do their thing. You also get the most beautiful views over the beach in General Luna (especially for sunset).
The food is also great. It’s a Spanish–Filipino fusion, and somehow that combo really works. We had the croquetas and the chicken inasal, and both were super tasty.
It’s definitely one of the pricier spots on the island, but compared to prices back home, it still feels like a steal.
4. Little Roti Siargao // My Favorite Indian Food in Siargao
Opening Hours: 6am-10pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Little Roti probably isn’t on most people’s radar, but it ended up being one of my favorite food surprises in Siargao. It’s actually part of a hostel called Hostel Bajala (which, by the way, is stunning—on the pricier side but a really cool spot if you’re looking for something more elevated).
We originally stopped by for a morning coffee on our way to Secret Beach, and only then realized the place turns into an Indian restaurant at night. Obviously, we came back later to check it out—and we were so glad we did.
The rotis and naans were amazing. We had the butter chicken, biryani rice, samosas… all of it hit the spot. I have no idea if it’s “authentic” Indian food (never been to India), but honestly? I don’t care. It was super tasty and we left absolutely stuffed.

5. Siargao Hawker // One of my Top Restaurants in Siargao
Opening Hours: 5pm-9pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
You probably wouldn’t guess it, but I’ve got a serious soft spot for laksa and rendang—blame it on my time traveling through Malaysia and Singapore, where both dishes absolutely blew my mind.
Fast forward to Siargao, we randomly stopped at this place called Siargao Hawker. It just looked cool from the outside, so we were like, yeah, let’s try it.
The owner greeted us with the warmest energy—super friendly, super chatty, but in the best way. We ended up talking to him for like 15 minutes about our travels in Singapore before even looking at the menu.
Which, by the way, is tiny—just laksa and rendang. That’s it. But honestly, that’s all they need. The dishes are rooted in the owners’ Malaysian and Singaporean background, and both were absolute fire.
If you’ve never had either, now’s the time. And if you have—you’ll appreciate how perfectly they nailed it. Simple, flavorful, and easily one of my favorite food finds in Siargao.

6. Kurvada // One of the Best Cheap Restaurants in Siargao
Opening Hours: 10:30am-8pm
Price: $
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
Kurvada is pretty much the local spot that everyone—tourists and locals alike—ends up at. It’s one of those classic Filipino buffet-style joints where you’ll find everything from grilled chicken to nasi goreng to random pasta dishes (Filipino cuisine really knows how to keep you guessing).
Most of these types of eateries are super simple, and Kurvada is no different. But it’s got a pretty good location, it looks decent enough from the outside, and it’s cheap—so naturally, everyone flocks here.
The first time we went, we were a little confused. There’s this big buffet laid out, but no signs, no instructions. You basically just line up, and one of the lovely ladies walks behind the counter with a plate while you point out what you want.
I usually went for the fried calamari, chicken schnitzel, nasi goreng, or the squash curry—but they’ve got tons of options. Once your plate is full, you take a photo of it (yep, that’s how it works), eat, and then head to the register. You show them the picture you took, they calculate the total, and that’s it. Depending on what you pick, it’ll cost you anywhere between 150 to 300 pesos ($3–6 USD), with the calamari and schnitzel being on the pricier end.
It’s not fancy, but it’s fast, cheap, and filling. Definitely one of the most affordable restaurants in Siargao.

7. Backside Burger // Best Siargao Restaurants for Burgers
Opening Hours: 11am-9pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
There’s a bit of a burger rivalry going on in Siargao—Backside Burger vs. Big Belly. Personally, I’m Team Backside all the way. (No shade, but let’s just say Big Belly’s five-star reviews may have something to do with the free iced tea they hand out for writing one. That said, their burger’s still super tasty.)
Backside Burger is this tiny little spot tucked away on the main Tourism Road, right in the actual town of General Luna, just next to Vinta—a super cute boutique. Seating is minimal, you order straight from the window, and then you just wait for your food to come out.
Two cold beers landed on our table right away, followed by two smash cheeseburgers with fries—and honestly, these were so good. Juicy, cheesy, messy in the best way. Like, exactly what you want from a proper burger.
Also, their merchandise is so cool too. I was this close to buying a T-shirt and I’m still kind of annoyed I didn’t get one.

8. The Hub by Lokal Lab // Best Affordable Restaurant in Siargao & You Support the Locals
Opening Hours: 7am-10pm
Price: $
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
If you really want to support the local community in Siargao, The Hub by Lokal Lab is the place to go.
Lokal Lab is a homegrown NGO working directly with local communities, and everything they earn gets reinvested into projects across the island. Their big goal is a self-sustainable Siargao that doesn’t rely so heavily on imports from other islands (which, honestly, Siargao still does a lot). It’s a beautiful mission—and if you stop by, you can actually learn more about the work they’re doing.
Now, the food. It’s almost entirely locally sourced, super fresh, and on the healthy side of things. The first time I went, I ordered their samosas and a cucumber gin cocktail—both were so good. I also stopped by their other location up in Burgos (North Siargao) during a day trip, and had one of their veggie bowls. The ingredients always change depending on the harvest, but it was packed with flavor and felt like actual nourishment.
Support local, eat well, feel good about it.
9. Naga Restaurant Siargao // Best Restaurant for a Romantic Dinner in Siargao
Opening Hours: 9am-11pm
Price: $$$$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
We went to Naga Siargao on one of our last nights in town for a little date night, and it was honestly really sweet.
Naga has more of an upscale vibe—dim lighting, cozy setup, and the kind of place that just feels like a proper date spot. The service stood out too, which isn’t always a given in the Philippines. The staff were super attentive and friendly, and I remember noticing it right away when we sat down.
We started with their homemade focaccia and some calamari—both were great. For the main, we had the mahi mahi, and it was cooked perfectly. Everything tasted fresh and well done.
It’s definitely on the pricier side for Siargao, but that’s kind of expected at a place like this. They take card, and they’ve got Starlink, so no issues with paying or signal.
If you’re looking for a romantic dinner spot on the island, this is the one.

10. Las Barricas Siargao // One of theBest Restaurants in Siargao for Mexican Tacos
Opening Hours: 5pm-10pm
Price: $$$
My Rating: ★★★★★
Menu & Location
I really wish I had found out about Las Barricas Siargao earlier. We only went there on our very last night after spending over a month on the island without knowing it existed—so lame.
Las Barricas is a mix of Spanish and Mexican food, and it’s honestly great. We ordered the tapas of the month (stuffed peppers—super delicious), fish tacos and the tacos carnitas, which were packed with slow-roasted pork and full of flavor.
We also had to try their tres leches cake because Carae is obsessed—and they even had a chocolate version, which was insanely good. Big recommendation for that one.
11. Vedya // Best of the Vegan Siargao Restaurants
Opening Hours: 7:30am-3pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★★
Menu & Location
I already mentioned Vedya in my Siargao café guide, but I think it deserves a spot here too—it’s one of the best vegan-friendly restaurants on the island. They’re open until 3pm every day, so it’s also a solid choice for a proper vegan lunch.
I really love the vibe at Vedya. The space is beautiful, especially the hostel—it’s definitely worth checking out even if you’re not staying there.
Food-wise, it’s all about healthy vegan meals. They’ve colorful Buddha bowls with falafel, roasted veggies, hummus, fresh fruit and all the good stuff. Their smoothie bowls are also top-tier—honestly, probably the best in Siargao, or at least right up there with Shaka.

12. Kawayan Gourmand French Bakery // Best Sandwiches in Siargao
Opening Hours: 6am-6pm
Price: $$
My Rating: ★★★
Menu & Location
Last on the list—Kawayan Gourmand, a French bakery that, no joke, makes the best sandwiches in Siargao. They bake their own sourdough and focaccia, and stock a bunch of imported deli items from Europe, so the sandwiches actually taste like proper European-style deli sandwiches.
We had the ham and cheese panini and the croque monsieur, and both were excellent. If you’re craving a good sandwich, this is where you want to go.
We originally came here to get some work done, and while you can work here, it’s not the most ideal setup for it. Also—just being honest—the coffee isn’t great. They use a Nescafé pod machine but charge the same as cafés serving espresso, which feels a bit off. So skip the coffee, come for the sandwiches, and you’ll be happy.
