Where to Stay in Noosa Australia: My TOP 4 Areas and Best Hotels in 2025!
Traveling the East Coast of Australia was honestly one of the highlights of my LIFE!! Yes, I know that’s a big statement, but I stand by it. And I was especially pumped about Noosa. This little town on the Sunshine Coast is everything Aussie dreams are made of, morning surfs, coastal walks on the best beaches, and a bangin’ flat white in hand.
The town’s a little more upscale than some of its neighbors, but with no high-rises in sight, it’s absolutely stunning and super nature-forward.
You’ll find beachfront stays that feel straight out of a Pinterest board, fun party hostels where the backpacker chaos is alive and well, and quiet family getaways tucked just outside the main drag. I’ve put this guide together to help you figure out exactly where to stay in Noosa for whatever kind of trip you’re planning.

Where to Stay in Noosa – My Experience
Before we jump into the rundown of neighborhoods and the best hotels in Noosa, I want to share a bit of my experience, because I had the best time, and maybe you’ll want to recreate it.
We only had 2 days in Noosa, so we knew we wanted to be close to the action but also stick to a bit of a budget. My family had flown over from Texas to meet Oliver and me, so we were on a mission to show them the best time possible.
We ended up staying in a beautiful holiday home in Little Cove. It’s tucked right between the main beach and the Noosa National Park, and honestly, it’s perfect for families. We’d wake up, stroll down to the beach, grab coffees, and just soak in the quieter side of Noosa.
Being able to walk to Hastings Street was a game-changer. We didn’t have to deal with any of the hectic parking. And when we wanted to spend the day on the river, we just zipped over to Noosaville. Everything felt super close, and we had the most amazing beach views right from our balcony.
If you’re traveling with family or planning a romantic getaway, I can’t recommend Little Cove enough.
The 4 Best Places to Stay in Noosa Australia
There are plenty of places to stay in Noosa, and loads of hotels, but I’ve gone ahead and narrowed it down to the 4 places in Noosa that I would recommend staying, plus the BEST hotels in each area for you!

Noosa Heads is the main hub of Noosa and the perfect spot if you want to be right in the action. You’ve got Main Beach, Hastings Street, and the entrance to the National Park all within walking distance. It’s ideal for couples, first-time visitors, or anyone who wants easy beach access, trendy cafes, and coastal walks at their doorstep.
The vibe is relaxed but polished, with boutique hotels, luxury stays, and even a few budget friendly options. If you’re after convenience, scenery, and that classic Noosa experience, staying in Noosa Heads is 100% the move. 2. Noosaville – Best Area in Noosa for Budget Stays
Noosaville is the more laid-back, low-key side of Noosa. It’s set along the river instead of the beach, so you’ve got calm water, boats cruising by, and some seriously good sunset views. It’s perfect if you’re traveling with family, want a bit more space, or just aren’t about the whole Hastings Street chaos.
Mornings here are for riverside walks and grabbing brekkie at a local café, and afternoons are all about kayaking, paddleboarding, or just chilling by the water. It’s still super close to everything and way cheaper than staying in Noosa Heads. If you’re on a more of a budget, this is definitely the place to be!
